Multiple zones of green spaces in Timisoara have been or will be cleaned of waste and vegetable remains. The actions began on Monday, February 26, and will continue throughout the week. The Timisoara City Hall is conducting several cleanup actions on green spaces in the city, removing waste and plant debris.
The campaign aims to improve the cleanliness and appearance of green spaces, providing a cleaner and more enjoyable environment for the residents of Timisoara. Special emphasis is placed on protecting the environment and promoting sustainable practices in managing green spaces. The plant material resulting from the clearings will be managed in accordance with ecological standards and will be transported to a specialized center, where it will be transformed into compost and later used to fertilize the soil in parks and flower beds," said city officials.
Citizens are also encouraged to be "active partners" in maintaining and taking care of green spaces in the city. Specifically, they can collect leaves resulting from sweeping sidewalks or other plant waste, but not in plastic bags. The responsible teams will pick up and revalue them.
